Chateauguay municipal election

Action citoyenne/Citizens' Action is a political party formed for the upcoming municipal elections on November 1, 2009, in Châteauguay. Coming from diverse backgrounds, the candidates promote values such as responsibility, integrity, respect and transparency.

Mayoral candidate Nathalie Simon

Simon says that she and her party are being backed by retired Chateauguay MNA Pierrette Cardinal and former city councillor Françoise Bardo.

Simon disclosed. "The program we will present to the population will be based on principles of healthy management and citizens' participation."

According to Simon, Chateauguay needs to revert to the basic tenets of what a city council should be doing: listening to the residents; providing services they pay for through their taxes, and promoting citizens' actions that lead to events and projects which will mobilize the population.
